Vermont July BS thread - independence to the people, celebrate and never forget
#62
Good afternoon Ken, John and Rob. Another gorgeous day at camp. Sunny, 85 degrees and low humidity. Finished replacing all the painted and rusting skirt screws on the RV with stainless screws. Should put an end to the ugly rusting screws they use as original equipment. Once the paint on the screws is chipped they rust. Some were so badly rusted the head just twisted off and I had to drill the rest of the screw out. Took most of the afternoon and about 150 screws but one more maintenance task is done.
Hope you all had a good 5th of July. Lots of folks here must be taking this week off. Usually it clears out after the weekend but quite a few folks have stayed on.
Have a good evening. Back to camping with my feet up and a good book.

Good morning woodchucks. Poor Ken - we'll think of you. Right now I have a pleasant breeze and it is sunny and about 85. Going to get muggier they say but so far not too bad.
Roy, have fun at Dells and say hi to the crew from this Vermonter. Can't say I'm jealous 'cause I'm in a great spot here but it would be fun to meet everyone face to face.
Don't know that driving a few (well, maybe 150 more than a few) is real work. I have a screw gun and impact driver so it was more of a sit in the chair, pop the old ones out, drive the new ones in. Looks a lot better with the rusty old screws gone.
Hope you all have a pleasant hump day. Time for lunch and then maybe a nap!!!
