Good to know Dave! Dallas is the guy I talked to a couple of times while waiting for the 2017 kits to be launched.

Dave, if I had used more Windex the install may have gone easier. Thinking back, I should have wet all of the sections after putting the throttle adapter on, and then slipping the bottom in place and let it dry. All of the pieces would have been lined up then. Then put all of the clamps in place. Hindsight is 20/20, however after feeling and hearing that BAM. losing power on the interstate, I'd gladly do the install just like I did again.

Thanks for the clarification, Monty. Is this the kit that requires relocating the power steering reservoir? And did the '17 Kit also relocate?

Yes. It takes one of the two screws holding it in place and uses it with an adapter. I was initially worried about it, but it hasn't moved at all in the last 3k miles.

Looking at your photos, along with Bob's, it looks like the reservoir sits more to the passenger side than mine did. Yours looks like it is in the place mine is now.

I like that hose better than the multi-piece one that Monty showed for his truck. Do they make one like this for earlier models?

That's too bad because that looked like a better design and the price was better. Being retired and on a fixed income, $350.00 is a lot of money.

As much as I would hate to be stranded, Ford would owe me a tow and a repair if their piece of crap hose blew. Don't know what to do. In 12 days, we are supposed to leave on a 265 mile trip with the camper. Hmmm...what to do? What to do?

They would have fixed mine under warranty too Joe. But I was on a tight schedule with 20k of RV behind me. No time for towing and waiting. That said, this is relatively rare. It just happens often enough to make it a worthwhile preventative measure...
