Won't start...could use a little help!

So hello folks. Here is my plight... truck wont even turn over. I drove my 97 f350 to my uncles, he says I need to move it, so out to try, and nothing. (ended up pushing her out of my aunts way... that was a bad parking job).

I go to start her and glow plugs turn on but thats it. all the lights and everything work but the radio turns of as iv got the key turned.

I thought it was the starter but after checking my solenoid and crossing the terminals (the starter turned over) i thought that the solenoid was bad replaced it and still nothing.

Is this just going to be wiring between the key and the solenoid? or something else

Thanks

(ps not sure what trackback means, this is my first post. I have really appreciated all the threads on this website!)

New battery's, and connections look good to me though main power cable cable to starter does have corrosion I don't think that it's so bad that it would cause car not to turn over

New batterys, infact love this setup... heavy equipment baterys with the posts 1060 cold cranking amps, starts so fast, well it did.

You sure the wire on the starter solenoid is right? The ignition wire goes to "S" not "I"

5 speed she is, I think I could start her if I had someone else cross the solenoid while I'm in the truck with the key turned.

I mean I replaced exactly as before and it turns out the old solenoid wasent even bad... so I'm sure it's correct maybe I just have a worn out spot on the ignition wire..

With the 5 spd. manual transmission, Check the plastic bushing in the eye of the rod that rune clutch master cylinder, and the pin it mounts on in the drop arm of the clutch linkage. If they get worn, it can keep the neutral safety switch from closing to complete the circuit to the starter relay. With the truck in neutral, and the park brake set, Key in the run position, "jump" the small terminal, and the large terminal to the battery on the starter relay. The truck should start

Or a screwdriver between the two big terminals of the starter solenoid.

Also, Thanks Big Rig! Clean and tight terminals=bueno.
