I have never seen the DPT % drop below 30% in my 2015. When it hits 100%, it will start a regen within a few miles if not immediately...

mine did it for free. You could expect to pay a diagnostic fee though. I was prepared too but they did it for free.

My truck will cycle from 100% down to 35% regularly. Sometimes it runs 85% down to 35% though. one time I saw 25%, but 35% seems to be my baseline.

I think everyone should get to know their diesel tech. I just caught mine on his lunch break and he did it real quick, just gave him a tip for his time.

I agree with this, and I believe is something much easier to do in a small town shop. The dealer I mostly work with is pretty big, and mostly function like the "wizard of oz", where the mechanics are behind the green curtain, and you never ever get to meet them. It took an appt 2 weeks out just to schedule the updated calibration for the regen jackhammer issue. When I reported my 500 miles to empty issue, I was in a small town away from home, and called the local dealer, and they rolled it right in, and then didn't even charge me to boot after the fact. I bet if I would have asked them to flash the update, they probably would haves since he had his computer hooked up anyway.

No Charge: I brought it in for an Oil Change and they took care of it. Of course they have been servicing my Diesels since 2008................Lew
