Put ohm meter on from outside of valve cover everything seems to be right any other ideas?

 

Check the main wiring harness where it runs over the drivers side valve cover. You will probably have to remove the loom to inspect the wires. The wires have been reported to rub threw were they lay an the valve cover.

 

Any updates for this thread?? My buddy is having a similar problem with his 96. He's going home tonight to pull valve cover and inspect the harness. Curious to see what the problem ended up being for Keithf1
