Yeah,my grandfather used to say: When the red meets the yellow, your a dead fellow.Fortunately I've only encountered these guys at a zoo.
Man,it sounds like he's in for a world of hurt and hard work, even if he manages to pull through.Damn.Wishing him the best.

How long are you going to be on the road for scraprat? Are you happy to be out of the desert and up into some greenery? Man,that desert drains me quick.I can only handle so much of it.I need my trees! This an incredible journey!

Seems it would be easier/ cheaper to just leave the snakes alone.

Yes it does feel better to be out of the desert. We're probably pushing it a little moving north as far as weather goes but nothing like grass and trees, water doesn't hurt either.
The dog loves it also first thing he did was roll on his back!

A little dank out there today.

Sooner or later I'll have to go back to work and put some money back in the savings account or purchase the winning lottery ticket.

The ticket sounds like the better plan.

You're not kiddin'! I never had the urge to mess with critters, esp. critters that ain't bothering me none. I always carried a bb gun or pellet gun too. Now it is true that empty tin cans were not safe around me. For that I apologize. And (just) once there was that streetlight. Still. I guess the statute of limitations is up on that by now.

Just about stepped on a huuuuge rattler along the Colorado, it was all coiled up, it didn't even move. I sure as hell did, though. Thing is snakes take care of rodents, mice, and smaller critters.

As a kid I learned it as " Red and yellow, kill a fellow. Red and black, friend of Jack."

You know the saying.... if you can't do the time, don't do the crime.
I'm enjoying the freedom to much.

Past couple days had some storms come through with good lightning shows and caught this with the tablet.

A new member to the family an 8 week old little brother for the other pup. Red tri mini American Australian Shepherd.

On the way home from the breader. Now the fun starts.

Your pup is adorable! So cute!

When it goes for snakes, at least some animals can take revenge on our human desire to own and judge everything, thinking animals are at our disposal. They are not.

Nice looking pup! Love the early stages of dogs. They really show their personalities. Have fun!

Do you post any other places with all of your travels?

Thanks on the pup, they're darn cute but a handful while training the little buggers.
No this is the only place that I post for travels.
Back boondocking in the Black Hills NF with a weak Verizon signal for uploading pics.
