Do you know what is on the bill of materials from Ford. Would it show what components went into an engine or is it not that detailed?

Depends on what they did. If they swapped in a long block or short block, that would be the part listed. If they did the engine work themselves, they should list it (but they probably didn't do the engine work themselves)
