2012 Edge 2.0 ecoboost p0299

So my mom's 2012 Edge 2.0 Ecoboost has been tripping the P0299 code for a bit, and the throttle response is bad. The local dealer checked it out and said they found the low side pressure sensor was unplugged. They cleaned it and put it back. They also state that if the code returned the parts and labor are about $500.

I do all her work generally, so I would think I am capable to do the job, but I am unfamiliar with where it is located or such. I do have a tech degree as well as an engineering degree, so I have confidence I can handle the job. I just mostly need to know where to find it. She is handicapped with a leg amputation so money isn't the easiest for her to come by. Ant help is greatly appreciated!

I just googled this and see that a common cause for the p0299 is a leak in the 3 or 4 inch tube that connects the turbo to the throttle body. The boost leaks out and the boost goes away.

Ford dealer said they checked the turbo and it was fine, which is why they say low fuel pressure sensor. I would hope if it was a leak, they would have found it.

I guess none of the guys on here have needed to replace that sensor. You might want to take a look at alldata.com
I see they only charge 27 bucks for a 1 year online repair manual, even if you only use it for this one repair you'd still be money ahead versus the dealer
