97 7.3 stalling issue

My 97 7.3 just started having a stalling issue it has a brand new triple disc Tourque converter the truck runs find for about 30 mins then every time I slow down for red light rpm drops and truck stalls it will start right back up . I thought it was bad converter so they
Sent another new one and It didn't do it for about 3,000 miles now it is doing it again. Any help would really be appreciated thank you

It sounds like ur torque converter isn't unlocking when u come to a stop. Mine starts to stall when I come to a stop as well but unlocks once it tries to stall, and keeps running.
Do u have a torque converter lock up switch installed?

Check your fluid level. Low fluid will cause exactly what you are describing. Ask me how I know.

He makes a good point. If you've upgraded your tranny cooler to something bigger than the carton of cigarettes sized stock tranny cooler. Then u need to add tranny fluid. The larger tranny coolers can take up 1 quart of fluid once ur pump starts pushing into it. So even if your dipstick reads full while sitting, its gonna be at least a quart low once it starts filling the tranny cooler. Get it hot and moving then check it while its running in neutral with the parking brake on. My tranny fluid level while sitting is way above all the hash marks. Then drops down to the H hashs while its running and Hot.

Check fluid. Have you ever changed the CPS?
