Nope. Still doing same thing. Except now it instantly moves when I put it in gear. Ive been trying to gather all the info I can on these test runs. I noticed that at first getting on the interstate everything goes good. I get up to speed ok, I build up to 11 psi of boost in 3od, and no jerking. But once I get up to speed for 2-3 minutes then it starts to loose top end power and jerks. After those first few minutes it won't go past 6psi, and takes forever to get to 75mph.

Just extra info. I remember the first time it started doing it. I went through a very rough dirt "road" basicly slickrock trail pulling my camper for about 10 miles. Then I pulled the camper at 75 mph for another 40 miles or so. I pulled off at a fuel station with a very large nozzle that filled 30 gallons of fuel in my tank in about 3 mins. Then got back on the interstate and it started doing this problem. The only thing that keeps going through my head is that I probably shook up all the crap in my tank going through that long trail. Then even more so once that high flow pump started pushing into my tank. Wich would make sense of what's happening. I keep thinking that what's happening is my fuel pump is fine at idle but once I get on it for a while I run out of fuel since it may be plugged. I would have enough left in the fuel bowl to make it work right for those first two minutes, but once those minutes are up the plugged sump screen cant supply adequate fuel quantities.

Any truth or possibility in my theory? I'm currently working on getting auto enginuity, but until then I kinda have to keep coming up with guests.

You could test this theory by draining and dropping the tank. I pulled my front one in like 30 minutes with the help of two ratchet straps.

I would get a fuel pressure gauge to monitor it while on the highway. if it drops below 40 then you are on the right track.

cleaning the tanks might be a good idea and also check the lines before tank switch valve for plugging

I will add that I had pressure drop to 35 when I lifted.my tanks are clean. E-fuel fixed me up. I gained 5 psi of boost due to actually having proper fuel supply.
I personally have absolutely no faith in the stock setup. The op is pushing hard in the mountains so If it were mine efuel would be on the top of the list no matter what.
Also after efuel I did a t500 and it picked boost up 4-5 more psi.
My pump Must have been very worn. I would suggest watching hpop pressure under load as well

I'm probably gonna go with lifting the truck bed. Seems like an easier route. I've pulled the fuel tank on a jeep many times and it was lighter. Even with Rachel straps it was a pain. I'm going to avoid dropping anything. I'll pick anything up though, especially since all u have to do is let go of it and it'll fall in place.

I haven't read this whole thread, but I think Aaron is spot on. Monitor fuel pressure and HPO pressure while working it.

Will do. After all this starts my truck then starts to lug a little after I stop then try to start from a stand still. It however doesn't do it if I put it in extreme, and start from a stand still. Wich would be the hpop acting up correct?

extreme might have a higher idle, but you should be running smooth with out the chip installed.

You need to test. When I was at that point I knew I wanted more so thirst were my foundation not my end game. I gathered data from my experience that I am trying to pass on but you need to get data before I tell you to spend hundreds of dollars on parts that don't fix the issue.

Anybody? Is it where the valve comes apart in the center of the plastic body, or is it before it gets to the valve?

I think Pollak supplied the valves for Ford. Every one I have seen had Pollak on it, from my 85 threw the 97. As far as I know, there is no screen in the selector valve. That is why they stick when some debries from the shower head plugs the switching mechanism.
