2000 F350 Front Locking Hubs (Different)
I was planning on removing and servicing my front locking hubs and have been researching heavily online (video's, forum postings and other instructions).
I felt I was sufficiently prepared but when I went to start I found my trucks front wheel set up looks very different then anything I have seen in my research now I'm not sure if I should attempt this. With the hub cap removed the hub itself still looks like it is buried in the wheel and not easily accessible.
Please see pictures, does anyone recognize this configuration and does anyone have how to service auto locking hub instructions for this specific wheel set up?
TIA
Roger

What are your concerns?
Since your Super Duty is a Dually you must remove the tire & wheel, then the adapter plate (shown in your last picture)from the hub to gain access to the locking hub assembly.
It appears your truck is equipped with what I call the "Dorman" style locking hub, instead of what I like to call the "Warn/OEM" style. The only difference is how they are held in place. The "Warn/OEM" style use 3 or more allen head cap screws, the "Dorman" Style uses a large snap ring. Here is a video of removal procedure of your style locking hub.

Thanks for the response rdlouks, the adapter plate you refer to , I'm assuming to remove that would require undoing the nuts shown in my picture?
My concern was exactly what you clarified for me, all of the videos I had seen previously showed you could do this work without removing tire/wheel and there was no mention of the adapter plate.
Thanks Again

Sorry, I wasn't implying that you don't have ESOF. I was just clarifying the difference between the pictures. 2000 still had the black plastic hubs from the factory. In fact, my 04 had them with the auto/manual feature. I'm not sure if the newer hubs are interchangeable. It's worth looking into though.
