Man, that's pricey, but you don't need to go that extreme. A NA V6 from a Mustang or similar car is 250 HP and plenty torquey. The OHV 4-banger in my S-10 has 25 more HP than a flathead, weighs almost 200 lbs less, and of course it bolts right up to a T5. Great little engines.
