Creaking sound Right front floor board

So , on my 2002 Ex 4x4 v10 I have a creaking noise coming from what sounds like under the front passenger floor board. My mother said she actually could feel a vibration in the floor when it made the sound today going to lunch. I cannot feel it on my side or the steering wheel. It is intermitant at various speeds and not any more or less prevailent when turning either direction. Does not seem to interfere in anyway with steering or handling, just driving me nuts. Truck just had new brakes, rotors, and tires installed. Vehicle is new to me, picked it up yesterday. Did not notice it on test drive or 60 mile ride home, but now that I am aware of it , it is driving me nuts. Any ideas? Headed on a long 2 week trip this weekend.

Probably your front sway bar bushing and /or the end links.

"IF" that is the cause a couple bushings and new end links.

The other possibility is a body mount, less likely but just as annoying. Get underneath with some good light and inspect the sway bar bushings, try to move the bar by hand.

I'm not sure but there is probably some information in the Tech Folder at the top of the Excursion sub-forum page. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...ch-folder.html

More than likely a stabilizer link is starting to go bad. Hey dry out first and creek/groan. After that if its not fixed it will wear out and start knocking.

Just got home from work and crawled under her. The rods from the sway bar to their mounting point still have tags. We're shipped to dealer and replaced Dec. 2015. No budge at all on sway bar when trying to move it by hand. Could it be the bracket where the springs hang under the floor board??

Sounds like the "hitter Tapped out" button

Just find a hill and Hitter Tapped out! Floor Board sound.
Likely that whatever it is will fall off or fail on landing and problem will then present itself.

Although it would be my 3rd choice, it could be the body mount on the passenger side.
(If you notice it more on hard braking or quick take off or in your case making a left turn let's say into a driveway) it could be...

My fourth guess, shock has a cracked or missing bushing...

I just got this type of sound recently, I'm having a hard time tracking it down. I also got a knock on the drivers side. Both started after new springs, sway bar bushings, end links I'm thinking I need to go through all the new items since I've put about 500 miles on it since and the sound just started last week.

It's pretty aggravating since it really doesn't appear to have much there to make that noise and vibration. It does seem to do it more on acceleration and slowing down. Turning right or left doesn't seem to have any more or less effect. Just got back from the store and I'm going to go back outside with the flashlight and check to see if anything sticks out lol. Beats packing for our 2 week trip....

I'm hoping mine's not a body mount, really don't want to mess with that
