What did you do to your Super Duty today?

The F250 has been stored down in town for the last 8-10 months waiting for room to work on it.
Saturday we towed it up to our place, still waiting to clear a few things (my tools from FL) out of the way in the barn to pull BOTH the F250 and Excursion inside to start the suspension swap.
Ot got dirty being towed up in the mud
The 2 meet for the first time, the Excursion getting a 4wd transplant thanks to the F250. I plan to spend some time tinkering on the non-running 6L in the F250 to get some experience without risking the 6L in the Ex.

The F250 is my 4x4 suspension donor for my 2WD Excursion.
Once I get the F250 inside, I'll spend a few minutes poking at the OBD2 once it has battery power..
Worse case scenario, I have 8 spare injectors/glow plugs.
I also plan to swap the tail lights with my '99 F350 (cracked), the rear folding seat from the '05 in to the '99 as well.
In the '99-'01 the 2nd row seat bottom folds forward and isn't very handy.
In '02+ the seats fold UP against the back and provides a much more useful space, plus the '05 is a split 1/3 and 2/3 seat which will let the dog and another person sit back there..

My Ford? Sitting In My Back Yard
Without getting too lengthy, the easiest way to explain what I've done with my Ford, is: I spent almost a grand in Oct for a tuneup, (too complicated to explain) and in December I found out I needed to do the exhaust manifold. I got the parts, made arrangements (which fell through the first time) then made arrangements to get it done last Monday. The Friday before, I hear a noise that made me say I wasn't gonna drive it until I took it in. Monday morning arrives, and when the truck gets started, it doesn't knock, it bangs. Scary banging. It stalls. I get her towed to where she was going to get the manifolds done. I get a call the next day (that while not confirmed without a compression testing) looks and sounds like the rod bearing went. I'm devastated. I still owe three (3) years on her, and of course, the warranty had run out the previous fall (2016). She's been appraised at almost $16 grand, while I owe around 14.
So, that's what I did with my Ford. I've parked her until I can figure out what to do. This is the time I wish I had the ability to change her motor out, because she's so worth it. Oh well. Next....

Thanks! I got them off of carcoversusa.com. The material is neosupreme and they are made by coverking.
