What did you do to your Super Duty today?
#46
Did it because I don't put weight on the outer wheel lip and I hated paying 15 a tire ever year for a balance check...regardless I had it on the highway last night and I'm not impressed. It had a slight shake at certain speeds and smooth as silk on other speeds

Today I installed my LED step lights on the driver's side. I ran out of time before I could get the passenger side done. So that will be tomorrow.
Before that, I put some LEDs behind my grille. Not 100% sure if I like it or not. I think it looks pretty cool, but I see a lot of Brodozers and highschool kid's trucks with colored LEDs stuck all over them. I did my best to hide the LEDs and only have the back-light effect. And you can't see the LEDs, except at some angles you can see their reflection on the chrome.
Anyway, feedback is welcome...

The lights being hidden make it awesome.
A couple weeks ago I got a life time alignment at Firestone, need to pick up a camber bushing to correct the drivers side though.
Friday night we trimmed the hedge and took it to the dump. Alway's take the kids.
Saturday hauled a load of bark for the neighbor.
Hit 150k miles. :jammin:
Saturday afternoon we went to the lake. It was 85° out and 93° on Sunday.
And finally my Scangauge came to the rescue, last Wednesday I noticed a hesitation/rough low idle. Took a couple days of driving and the Scangauge threw a code. Fortunately I had an extra COP in the glove box. Will have to order a couple more now.

I too am curious how they work with the truck tires.

My wife has Big Red this week, about 100 miles away from me. It started making a grinding noise when moving forward. I suspected a hung up parking brake or maybe U-joints. She ran Big Red over to our tire/suspension shop, where they diagnosed hung parking brake/rusted back plate. They gave her the POS shop VIP loaner car and sent her back to work.
It'll be back on the road today.

They're 5050s from Amazon, I got the water-proof variety for obvious reasons. 5050 basically just means 5.0mm x 5.0mm for each LED. There are also three individual light sources in each housing, which is nice.
I got some plastic corner protector from Home Depot and stuck the strips to that Then zip tied it to the back of the grille like this |> so that way the strips are like 45° up and 45° down. I used about 15 FEET of LEDs total.. haha
Keep in mind the adhesive that comes with the LEDs kinda sucks. You'll need some of the gray 3M or Scotch exterior mounting tape.
You should be able to do the whole thing for less than $25.
