I have a 78 f150 with factory cruise control that works, I updated the steering wheel to an 85 f150 and my cruise control still works. Sometime between 78 and 85 ford introduced the "RESUME" option on cruise control uinit. My first question is that I'm assuming the "RESUME" option is built into the Amplifier Assembly? Second question What year did Ford first introduce the "RESUME" option? And third question, If the "RESUME" option is built into the Amplifier Assembly, I was to get on Amplifier Assembly off the first year it was offered would it plug into my cruise control system that I now have?, or does it require more components and or wires to make the "RESUME" option work?

He took a column for a 79 and a cruise pad with resume from an 85 (I think) and put it in a 67-72 truck.

Resume is purely electronic between the buttons and the module, so if the module has it, & you have the button, it'll work.
