Found a cure for slow fuel filling

With this set up you have to add an outer hose from the neck to the tank ( 1 7/8 ) which vents air while the fuel travel's the interior hose. I've had it on for about a month and can fuel up at full open on the pump.!!! !!! !!! !!!

Had to edit this post and remove the original ad it was the wrong one It does not specify diesel as my order did. It says the diesel specific is

unavailable. here is what i used I cant find it anywhere else

Amazon.com: Diesel Fuel Filler Neck Hose Pipe Replacement for Chevrolet GMC Pickup Truck 10390972: Automotive Amazon.com: Diesel Fuel Filler Neck Hose Pipe Replacement for Chevrolet GMC Pickup Truck 10390972: Automotive

here it is it's for a 6.6 GM I traced the OEM part number from the ad {GM OEM part #10390972} . http://1autoshop.com/i-23886977-2001...neck-pipe.html

What other mods if any did you have to make to the new hose? Was it the correct length? Can you take some pics of your setup?

OK here is the process. I didn't change anything on the vent. The new piece is designed to vent through the outer hose. I went with 1 7/8" but it was damn tight on the cap end. Had to grease it to get it on, was approx 30" long. It's hard to tell by the pics but there is about 1/2" -3/4" slope. the small hose actually goes inside the tank neck by about 2"-3" whole install took about 30 min but I have the flatbed sooo... There is a small hose that can go on the tank vent but I just pulled it off and left the stock one in place

Ok, so it doesnt come with a vent hose or you used a different one? I'll assume the main line will need to be cut down to fit a srw fleetside bed.. Also, I'm not at home right now but I'll go out on a limb and say the cap side plate is a different bolt pattern than the typical obs..

Just for reference I did the vent mod on my 96 flat bed and had good results but not this good. The bunjie in pics will hold the fuel nozzle in while I wait in the truck no need to babysit it.

It comes exactly as pictured in amazon ad, the hose you see is about 1" id just big enough for a fuel nozzle. I purchased the outer 1 7/8" hose from NAPA. Left stock vent in place.

One other thing. I had it re cut because on first install there was a kink in the outer hose, keep it straight as you can
