Unhappy Door ajar switch part number needed

The dealer I bought my truck from over a month ago promised to get me the switch for my driver's side front door, but hasn't come through for me and now isn't returning my calls! I NEED to do this, as my dome light is staying on after I lock the doors, wearing out my battery.

I looked on Napa auto parts online, but couldn't find anything. If someone could tell me where I can buy this and what the part number is, I would greatly appreciate it.

Why not going to the dealer and make him replace it for free? Promise is a promise. I mean, you need to take it there for them to replace it anyway so why bother calling them.

Anyways...if you choose to pay for it, email Torrie at torrie@fordpartsnetwork.com . I'm sure he'll give you a very reasonable price and the part number for the switch. Good luck!

Have you tried lubing the latch? This fixes them a lot of times. Your battery shouldn't die from this although it can be annoying, the computer has a timer that should shut the light off after 45 minutes.

ARGH! Well, I figured the light would eventually go out, so I didn't sweat it when I last locked the doors. Now it is 3 hours later and my neighbor just knocked to tell me my interior lights are on. I am pretty sure this is why I had to get a new battery last week, and I don't want to ruin my new one. I guess I will pull the fuse for the lights until I get the damn part. The thing that pisses me off is that the "dealer" (used car robber baron) promised me he'd take care of the door ajar problem and that he would give me the magazine for the CD changer, and over a month later I have neither. I guess a call to the BBB is in order.

Stepman, I have tried lubing it to no avail. I don't know why my truck seems to be ignoring the lights out in 45 minutes thing. Thanks for the info!
