I have a 1980 ford f100 custom and I'm trying to put a toggle switch on the igniton I currently have my head lights on a two post switch and I a three post switch that turns on the radio and seems to turn on the dome light meaning of the switch is not on lights won't come on when u open your driver door help have cut into two heavy yellow wires on the switch could not figure it out so I just repaired it

 

It's best to leave the ignition switch in place for everything to function properly. As you have found out, there are many wires going to the switch, it's not a simple one section switch.

 

Does any one know how to hook one up
