Fuel pressure monitor questions

Hello all...
OK so 2006 f550 6.0

If I want to monitor fuel pressure with a gauge in cab while running all the time... (not just testing) can I purchase one of the secondary fuel filter caps that have a port in the top and connect the sensor to this to run or is there a better way? (Or is that not going to work)
Cap I am talking about is something like this

http://www.littlepowershop.com/ford-powerstroke-diesel/2003-2007-powerstroke-6-0/filters/black-diamond-2003-2007-6-0-powerstroke-billet-filter-cap-combo-kit/

(I know this is a combo kit but they do sell the fuel only)
But since it has a threaded port in the top I could connect the fuel pressure sensor to that and go from there correct? Would that give accurate readings?
Thanks

You buy this GlowShift Ford 6.0L Diesel Fuel Pressure Adapter and attach it to the fuel bowl, than use any gauge you want, I would also do the blue spring upgrade while you are at it I do use their gauges and have had no problem but to each their own

The best option is to buy this hose, it threads right into fuel port and is high quality, I have had mine installed for years with zero issues

For a pic of where you place it

The reason I remember is the fuel pressure sender is expensive and needs to be routed away from the motor to isolate it from vibration and heat, if you attach it directly to the fuel bowl it can cause it to fail prematurely and the hose also also has a built in Schrader valve to bleed air out of line

Are you referring to just the threaded adapter you posted a link to?

This is exactly what I need and the 50 dollar price is fine but cant believe it is 21.00 to ship it. I will have to look around a bit before I pay that much to ship a hose.

Looks like that is going to be my setup for now. I ordered the adapter and I will keep researching the hose.

I used an elbow at the port and mounted the sender along the firewall. i thought there would be an interference if the sender was at the port, along with added heat and vibrations.
