Anybody wheelin with wheel spacers???

looking for some real world offroading with wheel spacers experience and general info.

I was always told spacers are a no-go because it puts more strain on the axles due to the wheels being further out. Of course, I would get other opinions on this before you count it out completely

I've always wondered myself.I have herd the same thing about it being rough on bearings but doesnt changing the offset of the wheels do the same thing?

Most farm tractors have varible wheel spacing but then the axles are more stout than a motor vehicle.

Myself, I would not use spacers. JMO.

Ford F250 & F350 - 8 Lug - 1999-2002

Had them on my previous truck, but after six months the vibration got worse. Had them checked twice and nothing was loose. That's why I got rid of them!

for every bad story there is a good one. I really don't see the difference in putting spacers on a 99-04 axle and running a 5" back space wheel compared to a 05-16 axle with a 5" backspaced wheel. the leverage is still at the end of the hub.


how much wider are the late model axles in comparison?
