360 to 460 swap f250

I have a 1973 f250 2wd 360 with a c6 transmission and I was wanting to swap a 460 in it. I found the motor mounts kit online but was wondering if the 460 will bolt on to my current c6?Would I need to do anything else?

The transmission will not bolt together. F.E. bellhousings are different than 385/modified bellhousings so you'll need a transmission from a modified series engine (351 or 400) or a 385 series engine (429 or 460). But everything else should work between the transmissions.

... and from what Gary Lewis found putting a 460 ZF5 trans behind his 351M (on the '80 - '86 forum), you might really be better off staying with a trans for a 385 series engine. The 351M / 400 have the same bellhousing bolt pattern, but apparently the flywheel is farther back on a 460, so that leads to more complications.
