1985 F150
Inline 300 6 cylinder
Manual Transmission
4x4
Single Barrel Carb

I am getting three codes from my computer.

23
42
72

Long story short I just replaced the O2 Sensor.(Which I am still getting the code from the computer). I have also ordered the TPS and am going to be picking it up tomorrow.

In doing so I discovered 5 vacuum connections that have been plugged off. I have searched and searched and I am having a really hard time finding out where to connect them. I have the schematic on top of the radiator though its really Greek to me.
I have attached the pictures of the plug locations.

Help would be awesome so I can find out where these lines would go.

The yellow cap on the air cleaner... a vacuum hose should be attached to that capped port and then connected on the other end to a vacuum port on the vacuum tree [intake manifold]. This supplies vacuum to the temperature sensor [round disc] in the air cleaner housing. When the temperature is cool/cold, the sensor "tells" the flap/door in the snorkel to be in the down position. That way, hot air from around the exhaust manifold is drawn into the air filter housing. Once everything warms up, the sensor "tells" the snorkel flap/door to partially or completely open, thereby allowing cool air from in front of the radiator support to enter the air filter housing.

This is very important for performance and gas mileage!

I just noticed that the "bellows" intake hose, which connects the snorkel to the radiator support, is missing. That will prevent the cooler and more dense air from being drawn into the snorkel of the air cleaner housing.

Please provide a few more photos with the air cleaner removed. That way, we may be able to notice more.

All of the colored plastic vacuum hoses [original; 31 years old] are prone to cracking, which causes vacuum leaks. It is often suggested that each of these be replaced [one at a time!], using rubber vacuum hose.

The photo is upside down, but it looks like the choke preheat tube is missing. Without that, your choke will not likely open fully and that might be the cause of the rich condition mentioned in your previous thread.

I'm sure somebody tried to "make it run better" by disconnecting stuff, you'd do really well to pay attention to that diagram and learn some Greek, it's really not that hard.

You didn't specify in which areas (KOEO, CM, KOER) you're getting these codes so I will surmise you are pulling KOEO & CM codes and you're still seeing stuff in CM even after replacing apparently-bad components... this is the correct behavior, CM remembers what the computer encountered during the previous N driving cycles. Perform KOEO & KOER tests to determine what the computer thinks is a problem at that precise moment in time.
