06 F150 4x4. Appears that the transfer case shift motor is working, but no dash indicator illuminating when in 4 hi, only in 4 lo. 4hi light does come on when key is turned on. Light even flickers when attempting to engage 4hi.
I pulled the shift motor, and it says on the cover, "non serviceable do not remove"
Has anyone ever removed the cover to see whats in there? Did stuff fly out? Did you get it back together okay? Were you able to resolve any issues by removing the cover?
I'd appreciate any input on this subject. Getting ready to return the truck to my son but want to have it working correctly before he gets it back.
