I think these spindles are toast!

I am basically rebuilding a truck from the bottom up. Just gettin into it. Took apart the under front to check it all out, and found these. Somebody has beat the heck out of them. I think they are done, what do you all think? Any good ideas on suppliers for new ones? OEM or better? I dont want to buy any china junk.

Here are some pics of the truck, just put on a pmf lift in the front, and pmf blocks at the back.

All I know is those are EXPENSIVE. You might be better off buying an entire axle and then having spare parts.

Cool deal. Did they seem like good quality? Or, are they stamped made somewhere else?

They seemed to be pretty decent. I didn't look for a stamp. I put them on a year ago and have had no issues

Now I'm not very knowledgeable with these things but wouldn't the majority of the damage happen when disassembling?

That would be correct. The previous owner was like a bull in a china closet. He apparently has been in there before. LOL Its getting a full front redo... Bearings, seals, ujoints, brakes, all of it! lol

Well! 4 Wheel Parts, got a little over 7 bills from me, and Rock Auto got about 3! It's getting dang near a complete redo to that front end. Ball joints, Tie rod ends, Stub shaft joints, seals, bearings, spindles, rotors, brakes? I ordered all moog and Dana/Spicer stuff. So, it will last this time around.

Really amazing how some guys can just beat on a part with a hammer to get it loose. But the bearing surfaces look galled even where he didn't beat on it so it probably was worn out anyway. Expensive parts list but worth it once you get it all back together. Every time I spend money on my truck I remind myself what the payments would be like on a new one.
