Got a lil crankshaft end play here.

Look at this guys.

I'm gonna take another video today. It's actually going to not be as bad as I originally thought. The crank was trash,, but the block is good. UNBELIVABLE!!! Swap the crank and we are putting new rods in with a refresh. I mocked the replacement crank last night with new bearings and it has .005 end play. Crazy that the block survived!!! I thought it was going to be trash.

It was running, ran great, but it's clock was ticking.

That's amazing.

That did not sound like bearing babbitt when you set it down. Was it
or something else? Also I am sure others want to see what the crank looked like.

I didn't get the follow up video yet. My spray cabinet pump motor went out. Maybe it's bad to say,, but I'm standing on the brakes of my shop!!! Lol. The motor n pump is an EXPENSIVE lil sucker. So I'm frantically shopping for either a pump,, or just replace the whole cabinet. It's a 3 week wait for the correct Gusher pump. Somebody's gotta have one,,, somewhere!!!

But that was the thrust bearing Sean. We honed it and it's off getting decked n cleaned now. It's getting a used crank,, and new rods. We are going to check the balance on it too. This build is going to be very nice,,, by nice,, I mean EXPENSIVE!!! Lol. Powermax, injectors, 05 hpop, 05 harnesses, our intake, ccv reroute, y pipe, I'm also making our own up pipes now too.

For a pump have you asked these guys to look for you?

https://www.grainger.com

The other I can thinking of right off would be

McMaster-Carr

If the bearings on the pump are all that went have someone
stuff a new set in it and go. Had to repair a commercial line dishwasher
that chewed a bearing. We broke an elephant getting the bearing off.
The bearing house had a 50 Ton press we used to put it back on.
The other option is any good electric motor shop can rewind it if burnt.
But that can take time.

I finally shot a follow up vid.

Some might freak out about cutting his exhaust,,, oh well,,, I've spent countless hours trying to realign that crap. It's "stainless", but crappy stainless,, it's magnetic. We are going to use a band clamp on it initially,, then see how it welds later. Might get tigged.
