Wide Chrome Strips - Windshield

I bought this weatherstrip kit from JBG. It says the front weatherstrip will accept the Wide chrome strips. Does this mean the wide stainless strips that are factory on the truck? Or the less than an inch strips that come in a roll? I have the wide chrome strips that I pulled off the truck and just wondering if anyone has bought this kit and put the same trim on. Thanks!!

Yes, I just bought the same kit,the windshield gasket has the correct slows for the trim but it is almost impossible to install the chrome in the groove, you must install the chrome before the windshield is set

Thanks for the reply. I heard on another thread that an installer tried telling someone they had the wrong gasket. So anyone else that has gotten the same kit off JBG and has the WIDE trim like the picture of mine above please let me know. Thanks!

1973/76 F100/350, 1977 F100/350 before serial number O80,001.

There are TWO different windshield weather strips. One has a grove in it (D3TZ-1003110-E) for the stainless steel windshield reveal mouldings.

The other windshield weather strip (D3TZ-1003110-F) was not used with stainless steel windshield reveal mouldings, so it doesn't have a groove.

Be aware the mouldings have to be installed on the weather strip FIRST, then the weather strip w/mouldings is installed on the windshield.
