51 F3 Oil pan gasket
Do I need to use gasket sealer when installing gasket? Manual does not mention it, and would prefer not gunk it up.

You might want to use a gasket adhesive to hold it in place. They actually help keep the gasket from sticking to the pan. Easier to remove later.

Also you only need to use a thin film, does not need to look like seat piping all around the flange.
