It is clocked for proper driveshaft angle, they sit low.
If your mount to the frame is cracked or broken (side mount) then you may have other issues. The transfercase on the drivers side has a mount on the side of it and it connects to the frame. Theres a bushing in there, its usually worn out after 40+ years. If its still connected you don't have much to worry about.
