So I got some new tires for my 1988 E250. Stock size is listed as 215/85r16 on the door tag.
The old tires were 225/75r16
Up sized the new tires to 235/85r16 (the size listed for the e350)
I will have to change my speedo gear. According to GPS the odometer is now off by 10%. Drops my rpm at hwy speeds. The rpms at 70mph are what they used to be at 65mph. Lower cabin noise and maybe a little more mileage.

Man, did you do a gear swap or really bump up your tire size?
Mine is a mechanical speedo, so it is easy to swap the gears. Just one bolt holding it in and its even easy to access.
Mine is f100 with 6.9c6 and 3.55. Standard in Australia they have about 255ci six and 235/75/15i think. Now with a fair bit more torque the 31/10.5/15's are j just about right for a towing application. Chassis isn't quite up to it but who cares its fun. Springs up rated to hell carries a ton easy
