So, just got call from eTrailer that the Demco is backordered until first week of June. Looking around for alternate sources where it is in stock. But all this has me re-opening my decision making on slider/no-slider.

I think this is harder than buying the Cardinal itself.

You could always go with a Pullrite Superglide but that's even more money and I think it requires an adapter to use the pucks raising it even taller. There are lots of other places that sell the Demco. I'd call before ordering but I'm sure at least one would have them in stock. Tweetys price matches too.

Here's what I found:

I found one in stock at Dyer's. Same money. Shipping out tomorrow. Problem averted. If I couldnt have found one, I was contemplating the no-slider again(B&W), but just have that apprehension as a newbie. I guess I am ok.

All the above works fine in my book........

I agree...I had to have mine at 4" because of the height of my truck to keep the trailer level and I never had any issues. I have a very steep angle of decent getting out of my driveway and had about an inch to spare each time.

Excellent! Mine arrives today. My 21K Demco hijacker was ~$1300 from Dyer's. It was eTrailer that backordered it on me, but waited a week to tell me so...

Dang-it! You guys aren't helping.... Yea, the wait is really hard. We are taking off for the memorial day weekend, IN THE OLD TRAILER. in fairness to the dealer, he didn't promise it before memorial day. He said first week in June. I'm trying to get some updated confirmation on that. We leave on June 8th for a 3 1/2 week camp, and I don't want to have to break camp(but I will) in the middle of it to swap out the units.

They are still saying off the line next week. It was in the paint shop this week. Told the dealer we would like it before 6/8. Damn near killing me....
