66 Ford F100 5.8, which spark plugs do you recommend?

Its time to swap out the plugs in my sons truck, its a stock 352 with a edelbrock carb and filter with stock ignition system, any recommendations? I read alot out autolite and NGK being the best plugs for this truck, I personally run E3's in my Yukon and Corvette and love them, and have NGK's in my bikes and quads my Cutlass and they run awesome, but this truck is alot older, I like NGK's, any experiences with NGK and these engines?

I am no expert, but I put Autolite 45s in my 390 FE because I believe that was factory stock when new. If that was what the engine was possibly designed to use then how can you go wrong? Engine runs great. I did upgrade to electronic ignition and matching coil so that kind of throws my theory partially out the window, but take it for what it's worth . . .

Factory original for 352/360/390 was BF 32 or BF 42. 32 is a colder plug than 42. The 45 'replacement' plugs didn't come along until the 1980's.

Here's the spark plug page from the 1964/72 truck parts catalog. See any 45's?

Well like I said, I am no expert. My engine is out of an F-250 from the mid-70's . . . I think . . . even though it's in a 66 F-100. Autolite 45's were listed as the equivalent to the BF 42s.

Jasin, If you like NGK plugs then stay happy and run them. BTW there were no 5.8L V8s installed in 66 F100s, only 352 CID V8s
