My '93 F250 7.3 IDI just turned 200,000 this week and the radiator blew this morning. The new one arrives tomorrow!
I am pleased that it lasted this long and blew within 4 miles of home. Radiators are to easy to replace to take it to a shop. It's really in bad shape....this fins are falling apart! You rub a finger on them and they just crumble. Given that I drive this truck about 30,000 a year these days, I was one lucky fellow! The new Modine and coolant will be $430 and off I go again. Maybe when I hook to the horse trailer it'll run cooler than ever.
Anyone else had one last this long?

 

220,467 miles currently on the factory radiator AND still using all the original hoses. Just call me a glutton for punishment. At this point it is more of curiousity factor as to how long these things will last.

 

My last truck went 225,000 before the plastic tank blew. You would think they wouldnt last that long with plastic tanks
