Sand myself, or call a pro?

Here is my beauty I'm so proud to own it! After I figure out the electrical issues I'm going to work on the visuals. Like the rust. So I'm wondering, would one just sand it off themselves? Or pay a pro and possibly deal with warping?

The answer would be do YOU fell comfortable doing it yourself. Personally I would do that type of job myself. It's all about comfort level. If you out source it might get expensive due to the size.

Use another media like baking soda. Doesn't heat up and warp like sand. There are guys who will come to your driveway and do this for you. Figure in your time and material doing it, it may be cost effective to pay a pro??

That Eastwood unit sounds like a pretty good deal. I have a siphon kit that goes in a bucket. works great for my purposes. Only cost 20 bucks too. Haven't had any issues with warping the sheet metal either.
