I just bought a 1996 F-150, 300 i6, 5spd.

When I unplugged the connector to the door ''buzzer'', it seemed that the odometer reading and instrument cluster lighting stopped working as well. I tried to plug the connector back in but I am having the same issue aswell as a door chime that now does not work! Gauges still work fine though.

Has anyone had this issue before? I checked all the fuses and they all are OK... I'm clueless right now.

 

Now I kinda feel like I may have disconnected C232 by accident, I'll have to check it out later, I'll keep you guys updated.

 

C232 does not plug into anything. You ground C232 to change information in the PSOM.

 

Ah. Well I'm still clueless then.

 

Repaired the wiring issue with the instrument lighting, but Speedometer and Odometer still don't work. I'm suspecting a bad PSOM. Will go trough scrapyard to get a cluster with the tachometer.
