Bought this truck used last month and I didn't check the turbo till now. Big mistake. I hope someone learns from this post!

This truck had a K&N filter on it. I think that's why the compressor wheel is so beat up.

I hope the engine isn't toast!

 

Do you have any excessive blow by? The turbo blade can always be replaced cheap but an engine, well $$$$$. Go to spturboost.com and contact kevin he will steer you in the right direction.

 

Will a KN filter will really do that? I was going to order one for our truck.
