I think the radius of the factory flare (king ranch, lariat..) is a good match to a 35/37 tire, but with the offset of the wheel you have they aren't wide enough.

The large pocket style flares really need 38 to 40"+ rubber to look the best, which is a good match for a 6" lift.

I run 0 offset 20x9 wheel and the 37x12.50 sits inside factory flare. 3.5" lift

The rockers are taking a beating from rocks, I don't run low rider steps either.

Im in the same boat, If I was worried about rock chips, mud, and dirt I wouldn't have gotten wheels that stick out past the stock fender and off road tires. IMO unless on the right truck they just don't look good

thejean....I was a Police Officer in So. Cal. for 33 yrs. and as you know "technically" you are illegal with the tires hanging out like that. I wasn't big on writing cites (we had much more important things to handle) but a traffic guy? that's his bread and butter.

I don't know where you live but for everyones sake including your trucks.....YES, run the flares which will make it look much better, kind of "beefier"......and some type of mudflap. The 3m tape will be a good addition. Good luck.....Dave

Thanks Dave. Totally agree! I'm in Alberta and yes, they do ticket around here and the rules are pretty clear. Some get away with it but I plan to not push my luck. I'm definitely doing aggressive flaps as shown in my second post on previous page or the flares. Or perhaps both! But if I do both then for sure I'm looking a 6" lift to make it look right I think. And maybe even bigger tires. Ugh, this is gonna get pricey... Lol!

Edit: I also just put these tires on and took off my old mud flaps so I could test fit the flares. I've only taken the truck once in its current obnoxious state! Haha!

Here's a 6" lift with 35's and flares. Pretty badass if you ask me!

^^^Sexy!!! That's an icon 4.5" lift correct? I'm going to 3.5 so only an inch lower. I think this sealed the deal for me. Thanks!

Yes it's the 4.5" but sits 5.5 over stock. I did not want a level rear so close to 6.5 there. Thanks!

With that much off set you will either need flares or you'll constantly be at the body shop for paint touchup. With a truck that nice I know your not going to use the paint out of the little bottle...

thejean....I've built several hot rods over the years and one thing that every gear head finds out sooner or later.... you never stop spending money on them........ and yes, those lifted trucks with the flares and big weenies do look nice. Also, once you get the lift done don't forget to adjust your headlights or might see Ofcr. Fred Freindly in your rearview mirror .........Dave

I also have bumpers, side steps, emblems, and a new grille on the way.

I also feel like the wheels look a tad small but I test fit a 37x13.5 (on same rim as mine) and it was super tight. I wish there was a 36x13.5 tire available as that would be perfect!
