FORD 2008 E250 stop lamps

the manual here reads:

Normal Operation

When the trailer tow stop/turn lamp relay is energized, voltage is routed tothe trailer tow connector through circuit 52 (YE) (LH stop/turn lamp) and/or 64(DG) (RH stop/turn lamp).

When the trailer tow parking lamp relay is energized, voltage is routed tothe trailer tow connector through circuit 962 (BN/WH).

When the trailer tow reversing lamp relay is energized, voltage is routed tothe trailer tow connector through circuit 963 (BK/LG).

how wire one LED stop lamp for working as a stop lamp not a double bulb stop/turn circuit ?

I don't know the answer because I don't know what LED's you are using, but I can tell you that A-LOT of people on these forums have BIG problems if the kit doesn't have the proper resistors included. The computer uses signal from the brake lights that can even effect transmission controls, so make sure you do it right! Good luck!

STOP light is a Petersen Pirhana. No kit. My first move on the ground is left and right trailer wires with 2 diodes then joined together into the LED.

The diodes are too simplistic, so Ford has this covered and surly when the turn signals are used with brake on, the would be brake only circuit will malfunction.

Add on Turn signals malfunction when the brake is pressed. A separate circuit was wired n works good.

I will try the Trailer Wiring Wizard.

How does the trailer wiring avoid these chassis short circuits and malfunctions ?

Add on are very comfortable here for example extra loud piezo buzzers for turn/hazard but ???

In the parts box there's a

4c24 14a348 p260g
connector with a 12G BLUE WIRE sez this is the Brake Wire

A diagram on page 2 right side

are the four connections use able as is and where are these connections ?

BROWN) – RUNNING LAMP INPUT

(WHITE) – BRAKE CONTROLLER GROUND

(RED) – BRAKE CONTROLLER BATTERY

FEED INPUT

(LIGHT GREEN) – BRAKE SWITCH INPUT

(DARK BLUE) – POWER TO TRAILER

Ford protects the trailer wiring circuits by putting separate relays under hood to run trailer functions only. The blue (brake control wire) is the only one you don't have on your frame rail. Brake controller adapter plugs into brown plug under dash. Buy a Ford trailer light wiring adapter to plug into rear frame plug.

Ford trailer wiring electronic brakecontroller wiring diagram

Implants the idea the only safe, given Ford's dire warnings abt blowing the $omputer, way is buying a $40 brake controller...assuming the brake output would light lights or switch add on relays.

Reading the diagrams, seems that the brake controller, once installed, communicates with the $omputer telling of its presence in the circuit and thus to stay calm n not blowout the transmission shifter.

Otherwise, a relay off the cold (-) side of the brake switch could activate a B+ signal to the LED stop lamp. Consider, punishing the DIY cold side relay with a designed blowout of the entire brake system...maybe at Chevy.

Thinking here is. again. this is an easy one n Ford has CIA for protection n control of the $arket.

Need to go back n follow the brake switch's cold side. Possibly going into the $omputer. AS:

'NOTE: brake switch grounds to $omputer'

Have not, so far, found a circuit diagram for the 'electronic brake controller' smelling, again, like a plastic box with a relay inside.

The trailer light wiring adapters are $10 at Wal-Mart. Brake controller adapters are $12. Separate relays for trailer functions are already on your vehicle from factory, to protect from idiots ruining the computer. All you really need to install LED taillights is to make sure they come with resistors so that they show same resistance as the stock lights did. Not difficult!

A roof rack LED stop lamp relay activates with the green wire on connector F4UB-14A348-8 seen in first panel of

F4UB-14A348-8 light green

https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/topics/2014/2014_Electrical_Wiring_v1-0.pdf
suggests:

'circuit YE-GN CLS43 at the blunt cut customer access
wire located at the rear of the vehicle near trailer tow
connector C4099.'

The YG-Gn there doesn’t supply power or ground. The other wires have no power. Where is power from, to these wires ?

The E250 has a class 4 hitch not covered in these drawings.
