Hello everyone
My name is Manny from Arizona. I've been a member for almost a year now and I know it took me that long to introduce my self. I bought a 1975 F250 about a year ago and have been meaning to start restoring, but had some personal setbacks last year and I have not been able to do anything to my truck. I just recently started cleaning the first gas tank, because it had gas from 2008. Anyhow...I'm really thank full I found this website and thank you for all the information and knowledge you guys have put in here...I really appreciate it.
Nice truck! I have a 78 that's been sitting since 2005. If you don't mind me asking, how are you going about cleaning the tank? I assumed the gas had evaporated by now and was just going to put some new gas in, but now I'm curious whether I should do some prep work first.
Thanks!

My truck was sitting for 7 years and it still had half a tank full of gas. The gas was bad and I had to empty it all... I did not want to ruin my carburetor. Right now i'm in the process of removing all the rust(it had a lot of rust) and I' going to coat it with KBS coating once it's clean.
the bad thing with my truck is that it has two tanks
I did the Apple cider thing to clean it, but flash rust took over it again. I just bought a kit from KBS that has everything to clean it and coat it. I think it was about $65.
Good luck with cleaning the tanks again! That's the nice thing about AZ, we have to worry more about bad gas when a vehicle sits than rust! (I assume you meant there was only rust in the tank, not the truck itself)
Still looks pretty solid truck. Must so much cleaning to do to protect the carb and machine for sitting 7 long years. Looking forward with your progress.
