I purchased the plugs listed earlier from Amazon as elk add these lights:

No install pics but it's really simple.

Check page one of this thread and you will see the harness needed. If you have the factory plug that is capped, this will work. Any LED's with adhesive backing work, peel backing off and stick to truck.
It's a an easy mod.

I have the harness plugs on the truck, so that is a head start.
I have never used (nor even seen) the led strip/tapes, so it is difficult for me to visualize the how the connection is made from the Metra leads to the led tape.
If anyone has any photos of their wiring I would be very thankful.

In this picture you can see a completed strip, wires soldered on for a plug and the heat shrink.
In middle picture you see how the roll comes when you order it.
In the third picture, you can see the solder tabs in the middle of the strips at the top of the picture, when you cut the strips, you have to cut thru the tabs like the one in the middle of the picture. Then, using a razor, carefully remove the silicone waterproof covering and solder your wires to the tabs.
You can also join multiple strips end to end if you need to go around corners and such...
You can make a lot of cool stuff with the strips, like the Wifes bike.

I get mine thru Amazon. You can get waterproof or non and you can get normal or high intensity.
Normal is 300 LEDs/5M or 60/M, High is 600LEDs/5M or 120/M
example of low intensity waterproof red

I have had a number of guys here just tell me what color they want and the length of the strips they need and I make them up for them with a short lead and plug on them and then they can add whatever vehicle plug they need. I have also done several where I add the necessary amount of wire on the leader, hence I buy my plugs in 20 packs and my wire by the 1000' spool!

So I have crawled underneath mine on both sides and can not find anything that resembles these plugs. That really really sucks as I love the look of it. I have to add steps as it sits so high right now hard to get in. Figured while adding my steps would put the lights in too.
Anyone done it without the plugs and can offer some input on where to splice the lights in?
I have a 2016 F350 Long Bed Lariat. Its not an FX4 so that might be why it doesn't have the connectors.
