Need an estimate
Hey guys,
I'm looking to swap my 239 Y block engine for a 239 flat head. Io have a line on one that was recently rebuilt and was curious as to what a fair price would be. I'm in Georgia if that makes a difference.
I'm sure more info is need so holler at me and I will do what I can.

Can you see it running, or even drive it? People have very different ideas on what constitutes a rebuild.
Cost to rebuild a flat V8 is about $2200 - 2600, depending how many new parts it needs. If you can get one for $800 - $1000, you can't go too far wrong, IF it's really rebuilt. Is the guy offering any kind of guarantee?
