Questions about a 2014 6.7..

Hey guys, we're looking at a 2014 F250 fx4 cc. I was hoping to get some feedback on any issues pertaining to the 2014 6.7s. I've done some research but I was looking for some real world info from those in the know. Thanks..
EDIT.. Oh yeah it has 39.000 miles.

I bought my 2014 about 13 months ago with 10k on the odometer. Now have 23k miles and have not had one single issue and I tow my fiver every 5 or 6 weeks.

Buy clean diesel fuel and drive it! They are good trucks.

Get a carfax report before purchase. Get maintance reports. When you get it. Change fuel filters and use Oem filters. This will give you a great start in the maintance cycle.

nothing other than reported above.

I do weekly fluid level checks and watch the fuel source.

Have any engine mods been done? Might be a clue into the past if they have. If it is bone stock, you should be able to drive it like you stole it for many miles.

bruceatlam is starting off with a positive reputation.
I bought mine in October 2014. 8K miles now and replaced one EGT sensor. Tow one of two different trailers about 50% of the time. Average about 12.5 mpg. Love my truck.

Thanks guys. It's a one owner, local here in NC. As far as I know it's always been kept stock. I'm not sure of the Oasis report but the Carfax is clean. It looks and runs like new, I was reading about the 2011s having valve issues and was wondering if the 2014s had any known issues out there.

As someone might have alluded to. Use the best fuel you can get. Truck stops sometimes get a fuel which just meets the min requirement and sell it for more. Go figure. In our area we have a truck stop selling fuel .20 more than locals. Guess they want to pay for the parking lot.

Yeah I'm pretty **** about maintenance. I plan on Rotella T6, Motorcraft oil and fuel filters. Haven't decided on which fuel additive to run yet. I'm taking suggestions.
I plan on trying to get an Oasis report in the morning.

If you run quality fuel. You shouldn't need additive, but ford has a great one.

I run Ford's PM22 additive because I figure if there ever was an issue, I can say that I've followed their recommendations for that, and for maintenance.

Also, FWIW the turbo, and exhaust brake were improved in '15. The '15 exhaust brake is worth it if you can get into one. Good luck, great trucks.
