Yea they do.
I needed an appropriate way/place to vent my frustrations and it keeps me from my truck !
Anyways.... I have posted and inquired about several issues with my truck in other threads.
I "just" bought this truck (87 F150) 2 days ago. It's got 222k miles and needs a complete tuneup something fierce! I've done several things to it all ready including changing out a completely plugged up air filter, cleaned out the throttle body, lubricated the TB linkages
It also has what is believed to be a completely collapsed lifter. I poured in a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil and have been giving it a "Katmandu Tune-Up" (ie Running the **** out of it on back country roads! )
I'm thinking also one of the MAIN reasons my truck has poor power is that the Master Cylinder may be sticking. Or at least BOTH front brake Calipers are sticking.
The brakes are REAL sensitive and about give me wiplash when the finally do engauge.
I'm gonna get the Master Cylinder/Calipers checked out this AM after I get off of work here...
My 91 F150 I6 has 124K miles and zero pickup. I did manage to spin the tires last night, on a dirt road. To my suprise, both tires spun!. I didn't know I had a locking rear end.
My truck has over 240k miles on it and still runs great. I drive it like I stole it, but it is also meticulously maintained. I'm sure it's getting tired, but it still has plenty of twist.
well i just got my truck running again (few corroded wires coused no electrical power to anything) and i took it for a good boot teh other day. It has 266 000km on it and it has had a full tune up newwired coil cap filters oil change plugs and soem sensors. I manged to light both back tires up on the paved roads around my house without to much abouse to teh clutch. Bt it was babied by the previous owner (my grandfather).
