3/4Ton 8 bolt wheel interchangability acoss the years?

My '66 F250 Crew has 16" 8 bolt wheels with the rings on them, and I would like to find solid wheels for it. So, how many years of trucks/vans have the same approx width, same bolt circle and same ID diameter on the hole for the hubs? (assuming from what I see the wheels are intended to be hubcentric??)
I know someone who has a mid 90's F250 ('94-'96) that has a date with the squisher as soon as they get the drivetrain out of it, so there is a potential wheel donor, provided they will bolt up & the wheel hub ID's are the same??

Thanks!
James

If you don't care about the hubcap mounting, the easy solution is the 16x7 used up to '97 on pickups and later on Econolines. The wheel is grey; the slightly earlier 16x6 is argent. It sounds like you have found your donor.

8 lug wheels on a 6.50" bolt circle: 1953/98 F250 / 1967/98 F350 / 1969/74 E300 / 1975/2014 E250/350.

1969 was the last year for "innie" wheels.

Thanks Bill!

And one caveat that was brought up on another channel: Apparently some of the wheels have rivets on the inside, and the rivets will touch the drum before the center of the wheel contacts the hub?

Won't be an issue if you've already gone to disc

OH!, and one question: Throughout all the years listed, they never once changed the ID of the wheel center??

Just revisiting this, as someone posted today asking same question, and noticed that my question regarding wheel center Inside Diameter was never addressed? Anyone??

The diameter of a wheel center disc is dictated by the depth of the rim's drop center. Measurements are standardized by the Tire and Rim Association and published annually. As a rim gets wider the depth of the drop center (H Gage) gets deeper. A narrow wheel might clear your disc brakes or drums where a wider does not.

Riveted center discs haven't been used since the 1960s, as best I can tell. All modern wheels have a welded construction.

If you are trying to clear a disc brake upgrade, you might be ahead to avoid 16" wheels in favor of 17". Dodge retained the 8 x 6.5" pattern up to at least 2008, by my reference, and probably beyond. They offered a 17" x 7.5" painted silver steel wheel through the 2008 publication date of my Keystone reference. Stu
