New Shocks for Towing

I need to replace my stock shocks and steering stabilizer. I do not tow anything but the truck is used a lot for everyday activities. I have been torn between the Rancho 5000 and 9000 series shocks. What would the best option be? I cannot find a steering stabilizer listed on the Rancho site. Can anyone recommend one to use. 2000 X 4X4 Limited 83,000 miles.

Thanks in advance.

New Shocks for Towing

Rancho 9000's failed for us after 5000 miles of towing. they were expensive and were replaced under warranty by the mfg. However while waiting on the replacement parts, we put Monroes, plain jane shocks for the excursion. They have performed without any problems and now have 50,000 miles pulling a 7000 lb trailer. This might be a case of simpler is better, we went to lengths to make sure the piston size and heat dissapation ability of the shocks matched the textbook engineering formulas for shock sizing and then discovered Monroe is making a shock for the excursion. When we bought the rancho 9000's, only bilstein and rancho aftermarkets were available. The original shocks are sized to give a car ride feel over the supermarket speed bumbs, not really enough there for towing.
