Fuel Pump Just Died AGAIN after 1500 miles, waiting for tow

The picture should be the very first one seen on the homepage of Diesel Technician Society. In answer to your question, no. The only pump supplying low pressure fuel to the high side system is the one on the framerail.

UPDATE:
The dealer ran their diagnostics, checked and cleared the codes, and didn't find anything wrong. He called and told me he wanted to send my truck home with their tech so he could put some more miles on it to test it under more conditions. I agreed. They found nothing and I picked it up. No more issues. I put another 300 miles on it this weekend.
I think it was fuel pickup starvation from the hilly terrain combined with low fuel level. We'll see if it happens again, I guess.
Curiously, my fuel economy according to my message center is up by about 10%. We'll see how that compares when I fill-up next.

My truck broke again. Lost fuel pressure, light came on and went into limp mode. This was on wednesday and they couldn't look at it until Friday. When I was on the side of the road, I talked to the service manager about the history of my multiple pump failures and he agreed to drop the tank. Of course he didn't do that but just cleared the codes and took it for a 100 mile drive. He said it ran great and made me feel like an idiot. Finally at 5:00 on Friday afternoon he agreed to drop the tank after just about begging him. They will drop the tank Monday morning.

Glad I found this forum! My 2015 Ford F250 SD 6.7L is going through the same thing. Bought it (used) with 16,000 mi...at 17,000 mi, while towing a trailer, died on me - with Low Fuel Pressure and Reduced Engine Power. Had it towed to nearest Ford Dealership, and found out lots of information. At 12,000mi, same issue noted, and lower fuel pump replaced. At 15,000mi, same issue, same replacement. After 17,000 mi, reset engine light, cannot find issue, and sent me on my way. Now, at 17,800, same repeated issue - low fuel pressure and reduced engine power. Dealership cannot figure it out....now at a 4th Ford Dealership/service. I'm going to relay the information regarding possible FOD in fuel tank - and I'm also wondering if it is a failed sensor. The 2015 year, was the first year FORD combined two sensors to run functional sensor..."Fuel pressure and fuel temperature sensors for low pressure fuel system combined into a single sensor, no longer two individual sensors." (6.7L Power Stroke Model Year Changes). I'm wondering if the sensor running two functions might be the problem...either way - I'm asking them WHY...thankful for factory warranty and extended to ensure this problem is FIXED...next step would be Lemon Law process in Washington State.

My sister-in-law's boyfriend bought a 15' with the issue described here. Two fuel pumps and three different dealers to fix it. It was a CPO with less than 15k on it. They finally figured out it was a bad sensor. Replaced that an so far so good. Sorry, IDK what sensor. I know the dealer did get Ford's regional rep involved in the case. The truck almost was returned to the selling dealer to get his old RAM back.
I too would be looking for a bad sensor or wiring issue.

Thanks my_crib_too! I called the dealership and mentioned the debris and also the sensor. I think they are contacting a Ford Rep. as they mentioned that they'll email that to the mechanic (who's coming...). So...we'll see what happens. Update to come later.
