WAIT WAIT WAIT.... The windshield wipers don't move at all.

There is a TSB out for this... Hold please, while I look it up. Ok. so I am having trouble finding it, but I know that this was discussed before, unless I am just losing it. I haven't found it doing TSB searches.

Do you know if all the re calibrations/updates and recalls have been done on your truck?

I dont have nor want your VIN, but you can search online to see what you might be missing. This would at least get you to the dealer who would do a computer reflash and reset.

I had a weird thing on my 2011 F350 Lariat where the HVAC blower motor just wouldn't work, it would make noise but no air would come out. Hot, cold, off, defrost, you name it, I tried it. I did a computer reset with my OBD II and test. Sure enough it started working again and did until I traded it on my 2015.

I bought it from a small town dealer. So not for sure. I would think so but I have been wrong before. It wasn't from a FORD dealer

Hmmmm.... You may end up having to bite the bullet and have a Ford dealer near you look at it. If anything, you might get away with going in and asking if they could look up your vin to see if there are any outstanding recalls. Hopefully there is something that applies that doesn't cost you $$. (you could also call with your VIN as well)

I would say unhooking the batteries would reset the computer, but that didn't work for me with my HVAC issue. The only thing that worked was a software reboot.

Wish you were close to me and I could just plug my OBD II adapter in, reset your computer and see if that worked.

I couldn't find posts because it appears that usually it is the opposite problem. The wipers won't turn off...

Here was one fix for that - if this switch went bad, I could see it not letting your wipers work.

From another site:

Had same problem. Took to dealer told me was rain sensor and when turn truck off they would reset. Did not solve problems.
Solved the problem 30 dollars at O'Reilly's Auto parts; combination multi switch (under wipers) . It is a ten minute fix 3 screws for the cover. Turn steering where the steering wheel top is to the left. There are two #10 torx security screws, remove them slide switch straight out to the left ( be careful if you have the pedal adjust it clips in over the bottom of the switch you're replacing). Installation is reverse of removal.

Yeah. Pull the plastic apart on the steering column shroud; carefully pry it apart. Then the stalk is easily removed with 4 screws, I believe. You may have to turn the steering wheel to get to some of the screws. Piece of cake.

IT IS FIXED! Quite easy and only took about 10 min. So the upper part of the plastic pops off. The control stick is held on my 2 T10 screws. The steering wheel has to be turned to the left to access them. The bottom screw holds the pedal control as well so make sure thats in place when the screws go back in. My windshield is clean again!!
