Just purchased my first Explorer. It's a 2003 Explorer XLS. Only problem with it is that both rear door Windows don't work. The dealership where I purchased the vehicle immediately threw a new drivers side door switch in it to no avail. Now they want to throw two new window regulators in it. Before they do that though I am going to do some checking to see if they are getting power.
It's a good idea to check if they are getting power. Do the rear windows work using the window switches on the doors, just not from the master switch (which was replaced), or they don't work from any switch? Does the passenger window work fine from the passenger door and the master switch?
It's not uncommon for wires to break in the accordion boot between the driver's door and the cabin, but upon a quick look of the wiring diagram I don't see an individual wire that would disable both rear windows but not the passenger window. It's possible there's more than one bad wire, or it's possible both rear regulators assemblies are bad. Checking for voltage is definitely a good troubleshooting step.
Neither rear window works from any switch. Just complete testing the wiring. No indication of broken wires. Used jumper wires to get power straight to the window regulator and nothing. Reversed the jumper wires and nothing. Am getting power past each switch but both rear window regulators are non functional.
Both front windows work from either front switch.

Reason: Additional info
So you provided a jumper for both power and ground and neither rear window worked? That's pretty conclusive evidence that both rear power window motors are bad, or both regulators are jammed up so bad the motors stall.
Yes it is. Now to wait on the dealership to get the regulators ordered and installed. So far have not had a problem with them fixing things that I find messed you or not working.
