Just got my new SCSB 350 Lariat delivered a few weeks ago and it came with the small screw jack. Been looking at a 6 ton double ram bottle jack that should fit under the axle with a flat tire and raise the truck high enough to change the flat, but can only find the Strongway and Torin brands. Neither has overwhelming reviews with the Torin having many more poor ratings, and both are China products. Are there any good American double ram jacks out there? I know I may never need it as I keep my truck in good shape, but as I haul often enough and tow a camper, the one time I need it will be when the truck is loaded. What are you guys and gals using for upgraded jacks? Any reviews on the above mentioned jacks? Thanks

 

I gave up looking for an American-made jack under $300. I purchased a Strongway 12 ton from Northern Tool. Tested it once on my travel trailer (8,000 lbs.).

 

Almost everything is made in China. A few factories make every Jack on the market. Only the brand names are different. Torin will supply after purchase support and parts. Craftsman is now owned by Stanley Black&Decker DeWalt, so warranty support is better than what Sears clerks were offering at the store level.

Double ram jacks are good when they meet your lifting requirements. Real problem is that lift range on any bottle jack is limited to ram travel.
