I'm a little nervous about the numbers... Loaded truck near $80k... That's the number I'm most concerned with.

Just signed into my account on the Ford Fleet website to check on the order guides. Nothing is available to download right now even the '16 information is gone now. I'm curious if they are going to be uploading the '17 information over the weekend?

2016 Superduty website changed pricing today. Some nice incentives on an ordered 2016 could lower the price 6-8K in the right combinations.

For that money I'd buy a rubber floor, crank window XL model truck and a Taurus SHO. Or maybe a Cadillac ATS with the turbo four and stick shift. Or maybe a V-8 Chrysler 300. Corvette? ;-)

Checked the Ford Build website and decided to accept the chat offer:

Please wait. An operator will be with you shortly.
Ashley says:
Hello. This is Ashley. How can I help you with your build today?
Rob says:
I would actually like to build a 2017. When available?
Ashley says:
To better assist you, which vehicle are you interested in?
Rob says:
F-350 Lariat
Ashley says:
Thank you. We are super excited for the arrival of the 2017 Super Duty models. The ordering banks are estimated to open in May, 2016. They will be available to build on our website closer to then. We recommend visiting our media.ford.com website so you can register for u[update son our future vehicles.
Rob says:
When is the cutoff for 2016 orders?
Ashley says:
You can order a 2016 model up until the arrival of the 2017 models on our dealership lots. They are estimated to start arriving on lots in Mid-August, 2016.
Rob says:
Thanks. Almost can't wait Bye

I sort of agree with no clue, but I know Ford had losses and serious kickback from the dealers on the introduction of the new style F-150's. Basically they lost 3 months of sales due to no vehicles available when the roll-out went awry. There maybe a little more overlap than normal. The truth will be evident with 20/20 hindsight.

I will be at my dealer in an hour or so just to see if it is worthwhile going tomorrow with checkbook in hand.

There will be no overlap with building the '16 and '17 at the same time. Ain't gonna happen. They will stop building the '16 one day, and a couple weeks (I'm not sure of the exact planned downtime, but not near as extensive as DTP) later the '17 will start rolling down the line.

The '15 F150 launch didn't really go awry, it was a planned shutdown of 3 months to completely gut DTP. Completely is not an understatement...they had dozers INSIDE the building to doze everything into piles to haul off. Seriously.

Now, there were some frame shortage issues with the new F150, which caused some issues, but that had nothing to do with factory changeover.

No overlap in large scale for sales but technically there is already an overlap as a couple 17's are going down the same line with the 16's right now every day.
